Nollywood comic actor Ime Bishop Umoh, popularly known as Okon of Lagos, has shared his candid opinion on the 2027 political race, stirring conversations online.
With Nigeria’s political landscape already buzzing ahead of the next general election, Okon delivered a controversial analysis of the newly formed coalition against President Bola Tinubu.
According to the actor, the coalition is bound to fail without Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate. Sharing his thoughts on Instagram, he described the alliance as a group of “frustrated” politicians seeking relevance and claimed the entire plan rests on Obi.
He wrote:
“The coalition is a synthesis of out-of-favor politicians, disgruntled Buharists, and seemingly marginalized politically entitled Northerners.”
Okon’s comments appeared to point at political figures like Atiku Abubakar, Nasir El-Rufai, and Rotimi Amaechi, who, along with Peter Obi, unveiled the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as the coalition’s platform in June.
Despite the prominent names, the actor expressed doubts about the alliance, saying it lacks clear direction and a strong frontrunner.
The most talked-about part of his post was his graphic metaphor about the coalition’s reliance on Peter Obi:
“In all they do, they should realize they are like a very big and attractive manhood, and Peter Obi is their er*ction. A big manhood is useless without the capacity to be erect.”

@princeholarr”It’s funny how you say the common enemy is Peter Obi, when Peter Obi himself stands for nothing, he did well with LP last year, he should stay and build the party with the followings he has, but he’s small minded man, now he ran to coalition with failed politicians.”
