A Nigerian couple has appealed to the public for help in finding their missing four-year-old daughter, Oluwadabira, who was allegedly abducted in Ogijo, Ogun State.

In a video circulating online, the distressed father, Olufemi Adakeja, explained in Yoruba how the incident happened last Friday, January 9.

According to him, he and his wife were about to drive out of their compound when their car got stuck in the mud. While they were struggling to free the vehicle, two women passing by stopped and helped them push it out.

He said that after the car was freed, he instructed his children, who were watching nearby, to “go in the house and lock the gate.” The women who assisted them then asked for a lift, which he agreed to.

Adakeja said he drove the women about 2 to 3 kilometres before they asked to be dropped off. Unknown to him, the women reportedly took a motorcycle back to his house, met his children, and pretended that he had sent them to bring his daughter, Oluwadabira.

“That was how my daughter was taken,” he said, adding that the child has been missing for several days.

The father appealed to Nigerians to help locate his daughter, stressing that the case has been reported at the Ogijo Divisional Police Station in Ogun State.

He urged anyone with useful information to contact 08061583310 or 08033237146.
