Nollywood actress Temitope Aruga has opened up about a past crush she had on veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.

During a recent interview with Biola Bayo, Temitope revealed that she developed feelings for Ogogo after watching him in the classic Yoruba movie Owo Blow. She admitted that his role in the film made a lasting impression on her as a young viewer.

Speaking further, Temitope also addressed her relocation to the United States, clarifying that contrary to popular speculation, she didn’t move because she was pregnant or planning to give birth abroad.

In other news, The Archdiocese of Kaduna has confirmed the passing of Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Kure, a senior Catholic priest and highly regarded clergyman in the state.

In an official statement signed by Rev. Fr. Christian Okwuyem Emmanuel from the Office of the Chancellor, it was revealed that Kure passed away at 4:38 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Multiclinics in Kaduna after a brief illness.

The message, addressed to priests, religious members, and lay faithful in the Archdiocese, conveyed heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Church.

Details about his funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.

“I write to notify you of the de@th of the Rt. Rev. Msgr Emmanuel Kure, which sad event occurred at exactly 4:38am today, Wednesday, 16th July 2025 at Multiclinics, Kaduna, after a brief illness,”

“The Vicar General, Very Rev. Fr Philip Gaiya, conveys his sympathies to all affected by this sad event, especially the immediate family of the Late Msgr, and the entire faithful of the Archdiocese,”

“We enjoin all to continue in the solidarity of prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul,” the statement reads.
