Clips circulating online captured the moment tensions flared, showing Burna Boy alongside members of his security team confronting DJ Tunez. In the footage, Tunez is seen on the ground wearing his custom “Number 1” shirt and appearing injured following the incident.
An eyewitness identified as @Funkhy_Dc, who was present at Obi’s house, tweeted, “Okay, guys, let me drop this here, I was at Obi’s house yesterday, DJ Tunez was already there chilling when Burna Boy walked in. After about 10 minutes, a heated argument started Burna was acting arrogant, pushed Tunez and Tunez punched him in the mouth.
Manny rushed Burna into his car, but unfortunately, Burna came with like 10 bouncers. They all turned back and ganged up on Tunez prayers up for Burna and Ogbafia. This is not good for Afrobeats.”
Another eyewitness identifed as Benny wrote, “You want to greet someone who you have been subbing since last year, you chop Beeting last last.”
The incident has since sparked mixed reactions online, with some mocking DJ Tunez while others condemned the violence and expressed concern over its effect on the Afrobeats scene.
Meanwhile, DJ Tunez returned to X shortly after the incident with a bold update, suggesting he is in good condition. He wrote: “OGBAFIA NUMBER 1 DON WAKE OOO!”
