Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, better known as Odumodublvck, recently celebrated receiving a generous $20,000 gift from Afrobeats sensation Wizkid.
Odumodublvck revealed that Wizkid sent the money without requesting a song verse or any kind of favor in return.
What was intended to be a heartwarming moment, however, quickly sparked controversy online.
While many fans congratulated the rapper, one Twitter user, @MrWhxswho, asked him to share $2,000 from the gift, claiming it was needed for his uncle’s medical treatment. The user wrote:
“Abeg my uncle has been sick for the past 28 years. We need only 2k inside that money make him take see front.”
Instead of showing sympathy, Odumodublvck responded sharply, writing:
“NA TODAY HIM GO DIE.”
It’s worth noting that Odumodublvck maintains a positive relationship with Wizkid. A few months ago, the rapper shared how Wizkid had supported him during a difficult period while he was bedridden, providing help that significantly boosted his career.
