The National Universities Commission (NUC) has given the Federal University of Transportation in Daura, Katsina State, permission to launch fourteen important programs.
Prof. Umar Adam-Katsayal, the university’s first vice-chancellor, revealed this on Saturday, October 21, according to Daily Nigerian.
The “Muhammad Buhari University of Transportation Daura” is the name of the freshly founded university.
According to Adam-Katsayal, the permission came about as a result of the NUC resource verification team’s recent visit to the university.
The commission’s acting director of academic planning, Abubakar Girei, reportedly communicated the clearance to him in a letter dated October 18, 2023, according to Vanguard.
“The acting Executive Secretary has considered and approved the establishment of the full-time mode of the programmes to be run in the Main Campus of the University with effect from the 2023/2024 session,” He added that “the approval does not cover the part-time mode of delivery of the programmes.
