Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has addressed the recent tension between her colleagues Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham that unfolded during the premiere of her new film, The Return of Arinzo.

Amid the drama, Iyabo chose to focus on gratitude, sharing a heartfelt message to celebrate the successful launch of her movie.
In her note, she expressed sincere appreciation to everyone who played a part in the event’s success, including organisers, co-executive producers, actors, crew members, PR and glam teams, hosts, media personnel, vendors, and event planners.
She also thanked the guests, fellow celebrities, friends, family, musicians, comedians, and content creators who supported the premiere by attending, purchasing tickets, creating content, praying, dancing, and celebrating alongside her.
“I want to start by giving thanks to God Almighty for making the premiere launch of The Return of Arinzo a beautiful success,” Iyabo wrote. “I won’t mention names because this message wouldn’t be enough, but please know that I am grateful to each and every one of you. I stand on all existing protocols and say thank you.”
Additionally, Iyabo revealed that The Return of Arinzo will officially premiere in cinemas nationwide on April 3, 2026, and encouraged fans to help spread the word.
Her composed and grateful approach has been interpreted as a way to redirect attention to her work, even as discussions continue around the incident involving Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham.
