Award-winning Nollywood actress Evan Okoro has gone public with troubling details about her marriage to Prince Chibuzor Nwachimelueze, alleging threats to her life and pleading for assistance.
The couple had their traditional wedding on April 13, 2025, in Okoro’s hometown. However, in a viral video shared online, the actress expressed a strong desire to end the union, claiming that her husband vowed to kill her if she dared to walk away from the marriage.
Okoro disclosed that she has already filed a formal complaint against her husband and that he was present at the police station during her plea for help.
“He’s threatening my life. I don’t want to be in this marriage anymore. I’ve been living in fear,” she said in the emotional video.
The actress further revealed that her bride price was never paid, and her family had recently contacted Nwachimelueze in an attempt to address the matter.
According to her, all attempts to resolve their issues and restore peace in the marriage have failed. She also warned her husband against causing harm to her or her loved ones.
Okoro alleged that her husband only married her under the assumption that she was wealthy, highlighting that the house they lived in was built before their union. She also claimed there had been no intimacy between them since their wedding, and despite informing his family, nothing was done.
