Journalist Rufai Oseni has added his voice to the growing reactions over the on-field clash between Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman during Nigeria’s match against Mozambique.
The confrontation triggered significant online criticism, with Osimhen facing widespread backlash. His friend, Verydarkman, also publicly criticized the striker and sent a message to fellow players.
While hosting Global Sports Update, Rufai Oseni addressed the incident in a viral video, expressing strong disapproval of Osimhen’s behavior. He suggested that if Osimhen was serious about leaving, he should return to Turkey, calling the striker’s actions on the pitch a “nonsense attitude.”
Oseni further highlighted that Ademola Lookman has reached the highest levels in his career, emphasizing that there should be no ego clashes on the field, given that both players are accomplished professionals.
He added that Osimhen should be allowed to step away from the team if needed and remarked that he would be content if the Super Eagles could succeed in AFCON without him. Oseni stressed that no single player is indispensable and that Osimhen is not above his teammates.
