A Nigerian man has sparked emotional reactions online after mourning a lady who reportedly died in a road accident while on her way to visit him.
The man, identified as @Doyinabiolaa on X (formerly Twitter), revealed that he had been communicating with the lady online for months before the tragic incident.
According to him, just hours before her expected arrival from Delta State, he received a call informing him that she had been involved in a fatal accident.
Expressing his grief, he wrote: “How do you mourn someone the world believes never existed? No pictures together. No memories outside a screen. No proof. Just chats, voice notes, and late night calls. But the pain?”
His post, which included a photo from the accident scene, has since gone viral, drawing mixed reactions from social media users.
While some sympathised with his loss, others questioned the situation and expressed differing opinions.
One user wrote, “Ehya, this is so touching 😢😩😩 We wish her peaceful rest😞🥺.”
Another added, “This is really touching. There is practically no proof and it’s scary.”
However, a different reaction read, “Bro lowkey you caused it. Why would you call someone’s daughter to go meet you and on the way she got car crash and you don’t even wanna confirm nothing.”

Her husband reportedly worked diligently to secure her a personal apartment, and she moved in after landing a well-paying job. Despite living apart, the couple stayed in regular contact and often met during weekends.
After getting married, the couple reportedly encountered challenges in their sexual relationship. The husband, despite consulting books and videos about marital intimacy, struggled to meet his wife’s expectations, which reportedly led to mounting tension between them.
According to reports, one evening, after returning home late from work, an altercation occurred when the wife tried to stop her husband from taking her phone. In the process, she allegedly fell, hit her head, and lost consciousness. She was immediately taken to a hospital but could not be revived.
Following her death, authorities reportedly arrested the husband.
