“No One Cooked in My Area”- Nigerian Man Decries Cost of Living During Easter

  • A Nigerian man has gone viral after lamenting the absence of Easter celebrations in his neighbourhood, blaming rising fuel prices and economic hardship for the lack of cooking and festivity.

A Nigerian man has stirred conversations online after expressing frustration over the state of the economy during this year’s Easter celebration.

In a viral post, the man lamented the unusually quiet atmosphere in his neighbourhood, noting that the traditional festive cooking associated with Easter was absent.

“This is the first Easter I experienced that it’s not only me that didn’t cook. In the whole of my area, no one cooked, I didn’t perceive any food. Christ has risen today but the only thing rising in Nigeria is fuel price,” he said.

His statement highlights growing concerns among Nigerians over the rising cost of living, particularly the impact of increasing fuel prices on household expenses.
