- Nigerians have started sharing proof of receiving ₦25,000 cash transfers from the Federal Government, with mixed reactions online as some celebrate while others complain about being excluded.

Social media has been flooded with reactions as some Nigerians began sharing screenshots of ₦25,000 credited into their bank accounts under the Federal Government’s cash transfer program.
In one viral post, a user identified as Ngozi Chukwu shared her credit alert of ₦25,000 received via REMITTA, sparking excitement among friends and followers. Several users responded in the comments, asking for financial help from the beneficiary.
Another post captured public skepticism, with a user, MhzOluwayemsy Olalekan, questioning the distribution: “As how na, and I dey this country.” In response, a commentator suggested that the disbursement may be tied to compliance with government requirements such as National Identification Number (NIN) verification.
The Federal Government had earlier announced that millions of Nigerians would benefit from the ₦25,000 cash transfer initiative aimed at cushioning the economic hardship caused by subsidy removal and inflation. However, debates continue online, as some citizens claim they have not received any payment, while others, like those sharing receipts, confirm multiple credits.
The mixed reactions highlight both relief among beneficiaries and frustration among those left out of the program.
