A Nigerian woman, Adesuwa Ujiadughele, has joyfully welcomed a set of twin girls in her 50s.

Sharing the good news on Facebook on Monday, August 18, 2025, she expressed gratitude to God for making her dream of motherhood come true despite the challenges of carrying children at her age.

“The waiting is over and we thank God for the gift of bountiful twin girls. I do not take it for granted at all. Having to carry my own babies in my fifties is not a road easy to pass but then I thank God I passed it gracefully and not wearing it as a mask on my face,” she wrote.

Adesuwa admitted that motherhood can be demanding, especially with twins. “Taking care of 1 kid is a handful let alone twins. Things come in doubles these days and my prayers to all waiting couples is that God have got your back,” she added.

She also advised couples seeking children to seek medical help early. “Make sure you seek medical aids ON TIME because most times we spiritualize things that are medically and please don’t get me wrong! Without Jehovah saying amen to our ventures, obviously it can’t work. Anyways, all the Glory belongs to God Almighty.”

In other news…. Dancer Kaffy has revealed that at 13, her mother accused her of having an affair with one of her boyfriends.

Speaking on The Honest Bunch podcast, she recalled being stripped and flogged after her mother misinterpreted her attempt to help the man, who had injured himself while shaving.

Kaffy described the experience as traumatic, saying it left her with deep insecurities.

The dance coach added that her experience made her determined to break free from the “emotional abuse and blackmail” of her parent to become who she is today.

“I was 13 when my mother started suspecting me with her own men. Because of the divorce she had kinds of people. She will have different men she is dating and we will see those men as daddies because we were also missing that father [figure].

“The closer you are to the men, the more she is insecure. And there was a day that I was stripped naked in front of that man in the livingroom and punished for just trying to help ‘daddy’ clean a blood from his face because he was shaving and cut himself. My mother walked into the room when I was saying, ‘Daddy, see.’ And she misinterpreted what was happening and I was flogged naked in front of everyone.

That had it own traumatising effect on the mind on its own. But then you are thinking, ‘But that’s my mother, would I do that to my mother? Why would my mother even think of that of me, the daughter?’ Are you seeing that transfer of insecurity from mother to child? It’s done subliminally but it’s going to have its own effect,” she stated.
