The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has summoned Ibom Air cabin crew member Juliana Edward and passenger Comfort Emmanson for further investigation into a recent in-flight incident.

NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs, Michael Achimugu, said at a stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja: “I have spoken with Ms. Emmanson this morning. We are also inviting the Ibom Air cabin crew for continued investigation on the incident. They will be here tomorrow.”

He clarified that the pilot did not call security on arrival in Lagos, as the issue appeared resolved mid-flight, though Emmanson was the last to disembark after using the restroom.

Senator Buhari Abdulfatai, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Aviation, linked rising aviation incidents to a “general decline in discipline among passengers, airport staff and crew.”

The NCAA assured it remains committed to uncovering all the facts.

In other news….. Nollywood actor Charles Ugochukwu has criticized certain practices in Lagos churches.

He expressed disapproval of the common trend where the best seats are reserved for latecomers.

Ugochukwu questioned why early arrivals are often directed to the back while those who come in late are welcomed at the front, calling the practice unfair.

He added that this approach can be discouraging for members who make the effort to attend church on time.

“You say service starts at 9am, but you reserve the first three rows of seats for people who stroll into church at 10:30am. Meanwhile, those who showed up at 8:30am (thirty minutes before service time) are made to sit behind. Please make it make sense.” he said
