- Police have concluded that claims allegedly made by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan linking Senate President Godswill Akpabio to the murder and organ harvesting of Iniobong Umoren were false.
- Investigators found no missing organs and no link between Akpabio and the crime.

A police investigation has linked Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan to allegations that she told a U.S.-based activist that Senate President Godswill Akpabio and his wife were involved in the killing of Iniobong Umoren and the alleged harvesting of her organs.
In a report dated February 3, 2026, the police said the claim was made during a phone conversation with activist Sandra Duru, who petitioned the Inspector-General of Police in April 2025. Akpoti-Uduaghan denied making the allegation when invited by police.
Investigators reviewed audio recordings, witness statements, and the full case file on Umoren’s murder, including post-mortem and trial records. The police found no evidence of organ harvesting and confirmed that Akpabio and his wife had no connection to the crime.
The report concluded that the allegation was false. Criminal defamation charges were filed against Akpoti-Uduaghan but later withdrawn after Akpabio discontinued the case.
In other news…. South African influencer Leshaan Da Gama has responded once again to the viral private jet video involving Senator Adams Oshiomhole, after the politician claimed the footage was created using artificial intelligence.
Leshaan, an adult-content creator identified in the widely shared clip, took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday, February 6, to comment on the situation. In her post, she disputed the senator’s assertion that the video was fake.
“Video wasn’t AI but believe your senator,” she wrote.
The controversy erupted when a short video appeared online showing a man, reportedly Senator Oshiomhole, massaging a woman’s feet aboard a private jet. Early speculation suggested the woman could be the senator’s wife, but viewers noted differences in appearance, sparking further online scrutiny.
Investigators eventually traced the footage to Leshaan’s social media profiles, confirming her identity as the woman in the video.
The revelation drew criticism from some, while others dragged her into political debates unrelated to her personally. The attention grew so intense that Leshaan felt compelled to speak out.
“Your senator is the problem, go be mad at him, not me,” she wrote in a previous post addressing her critics directly.
