Nigerian artist and record label boss Afeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has stirred online conversations with his remarks to football gamblers.
Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday, September 14, the singer urged football punters to exercise restraint, warning that the odds are rarely in their favor.
“Football bet no be work bro. Please stop before they finish you,” he advised in one post, adding in another, “You’re far too smart to be the only thing standing in your way.”
His comments arrived just as European club football resumed, a weekend that saw Manchester United suffer a 3–0 defeat to rivals Manchester City in the English Premier League.
