Super Falcons star Jennifer Echegini has revealed that one of her teammates warned her against opening the team bus window while in Lagos.
According to Echegini, she was cautioned that her phone could easily be snatched by the crowd gathered around their bus.
In a viral video on X, the Super Falcons players were seen inside their team bus in Lagos when Echegini, who scored the third goal in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) final against Morocco, told Asisat Oshoala that she wanted to open the window to interact with the fans.
However, the 24-year-old was quickly advised by a teammate, who, speaking in Pidgin English, warned her not to do so.
Echegini said: “Asisat [Oshoala], me I wan open window.”
Her teammate, whose face was not visible in the video, replied: “No open nah, na Lagos you dey, them fit thief your phone sit down
