A woman has sparked widespread online reactions after claiming that her son’s school told her he had died two years ago despite the boy reportedly returning home during holidays.
The emotional story was shared on Facebook by a user named Chinemerem, who described the bewildering and distressing experience.
She explained that after her son had spent three years at a boarding school, she visited the institution only to be told by the administration that her son was no longer enrolled because he had supposedly passed away two years earlier.
The news left her confused and anxious, as she insisted that her son had returned home multiple times during school breaks, appearing healthy and well.
Following the encounter, the mother said she immediately called her son to clarify the situation. He initially answered, giving her hope, but when she mentioned what the school had told her, he abruptly ended the call and later blocked her on all messaging platforms.
This unexpected response heightened her fears and left her questioning what was actually happening.
The boy’s younger sibling was also reportedly disturbed after overhearing the conversation. He expressed disbelief, asking how his brother could be dead when they had recently spent time together, sharing meals and playing games.
Determined to find answers, the mother returned to the school for further clarification. She was allegedly told that her son was thought to have died during a mid-term break in a vehicle accident that caused the vehicle to fall into a river.
According to the account, no bodies were recovered from the incident, leaving the situation even more mysterious.
The story has since gone viral, drawing reactions of shock, disbelief, and concern from social media users.
