Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham is inching closer to billionaire status after breaking her own box office record. Her 2025 cinema release, Oversabi Aunty, has grossed ₦711 million in just 18 days.

Sharing the milestone on Instagram, Toyin expressed gratitude to God and thanked fans for their overwhelming support and turnout at cinemas.

In other news…. The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the GRA Police Station in Asaba, Delta State, has been removed from office and sanctioned following allegations of misconduct involving a good Samaritan.

A Nigerian man, Tomi Wojuola, had earlier taken to social media to share his ordeal, claiming he was nearly framed for murder after attempting to help a dying man. According to Wojuola, he rushed a man who had collapsed on the road to a nearby hospital, where the victim was later confirmed dead.

Wojuola said he subsequently went to a police station to file an official report on the incident. However, during the process, the DPO allegedly accused him of murder and threatened him. He added that only divine intervention spared him from further trouble.

Reacting to the incident via X (formerly Twitter), the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed that the DPO had been sanctioned and removed from his position. He also disclosed that the money allegedly extorted from Wojuola had been fully refunded.
