In other news, A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to demand justice after her heavily pregnant sister tragically died following a brutal beating by her husband in Benin.
In a now-viral video posted on X (formerly Twitter), the distraught woman narrated how her sister was assaulted so badly by her husband that she later died. Despite rushing to the police, she claimed officers refused to arrest the man, saying he would “turn himself in” — but he’s yet to show up.
With tears in her eyes, she cried out “My sister’s husband beat her to death with pregnancy. They said we can’t do anything. Police we called couldn’t arrest him. Please help me, I want justice for my sister.”
The clip also showed her late sister alive but visibly battered, sparking widespread outrage and demands for justice from Nigerians online.
