Nigerian skit maker and actor, Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has weighed in on the viral video of an Ibom Air passenger involved in an in-flight altercation.

In the clip, the female passenger was forcefully escorted by airline and FAAN officials into a bus after reportedly causing a disturbance onboard.

Reacting via X (formerly Twitter), Mr Macaroni criticized Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo, urging him to go beyond making statements online and take concrete steps to address the matter.

The comedian questioned the disparity in treatment between the woman and Fuji legend KWAM 1, who once disrupted a flight. He stressed that the swift legal action taken against the lady should also apply to those who humiliated her.

Mr Macaroni insisted that everyone involved in her mistreatment from those who blocked her exit from the aircraft, to anyone who assaulted airline staff, stripped her, or leaked the footage should face consequences.

He further lamented the culture of selective justice in Nigeria, noting how government officials defended the individual who obstructed a flight, yet allowed another to be publicly humiliated.

In response to a post about KWAM 1’s apology for his own incident, the actor faulted Abike Dabiri, saying she was unfit for public office. According to him, her stance suggested that crimes could simply be excused with an apology.

This is not the first time Mr Macaroni has openly criticized public figures; he has previously called out the Lagos State Tourism Commissioner over a controversial viral incident.

@callmeMEJE:”100%. Both things can be true. She deserved lawful consequences and those who humiliated her deserve the same energy. The real issue is consistency. In Nigeria, punishment depends on who you are, not what you did.”

@flourish007:”KWAM1 is set to perform for Baba during the 2027 election campaign, valued as a key asset to be shielded rather than prosecuted. While they demand law-abiding citizens, they openly flout the law themselves.”

@amaloversclub:”That’s so alarming. As if they were waiting for her.”

@Delis_Fidel:”Thank you for voicing this your anger and frustration are deeply valid. What happened in the Ibom Air incident is disturbing on multiple levels, and it’s understandable that people are outraged not just by the event itself but by the perceived inconsistency in how justice is applied in this country.”
