The health of ailing Nollywood actor John Okafor a.k.a. Mr Ibu has reportedly deteriorated to the point where he is unable to speak.
This comes just a month after he had his leg amputated in an attempt to save his life.
Mr Ibu has since undergone another surgery to remove a portion of the same leg that was amputated last month, according to Vanguard.
Concerns are growing not only because Mr Ibu’s health is deteriorating, but also because another veteran actor, Amaechi Muonagor, is in poor health.
Amaechi Muonagor has been hospitalised for over two months at Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital in Nnewi, Anambra State.
Dr. Emeka Rollas, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), provided an update on the health of these ailing actors during a telephone conversation with the publication.
“We are resigning to fate concerning the two actors. As I speak with you, Mr Ibu hardly talks again and he has undergone another leg amputation,” he said.
