Media personality Radiogad has weighed in on the surname change that followed the wedding of singer Mr Eazi and Temi Otedola.

According to Naija News, the union between the music star and the daughter of billionaire Femi Otedola sparked debates after Temi chose to drop her maiden name and take on her husband’s surname, Ajibade.

In response, Radiogad shared a video on his Instagram page, expressing his view that Mr Eazi may have made a misstep by giving his surname to Temi.

He suggested that the singer might have gained more by adopting Temi’s surname instead. Radiogad highlighted that marrying into the Otedola family comes with significant prestige, which Mr Eazi could have leveraged by taking on the Otedola name.

He further noted that, in some cases, it is wise for men to embrace their wives’ surnames, particularly when the woman hails from a family with notable influence and standing.
