Mosun Filani Reacts After Fan Criticizes Her Role in Konge 3

Nollywood actress Mosun Filani has addressed criticism from a fan who expressed disappointment in her performance in Konge 3, a new film by her colleague Wumi Toriola.

The fan, who once admired the actress, stated that her perception of Mosun changed after watching her role in the movie.

“I really like you, but from the day I watched Konge, I have a different perspective about you,” the fan wrote.

Responding to the comment, Mosun emphasized that she was simply doing her job as an actress. She pointed out the double standard in the audience’s reaction, saying she would have been dragged for poor acting had she not portrayed the role convincingly.

“Haaa, na movie o. If I no act well, na una go complain. I did a good job, now una don dey hate me,” she replied.

Taking the conversation further, Mosun posted on her Instagram page, clarifying that her character in the movie was scripted and not a reflection of her true self. She explained that acting is all about “make-believe” and encouraged fans to separate fiction from reality.

“It’s a MOVIE! I got the script, got into character, and delivered perfectly for your enjoyment. That’s why it’s called MAKE BELIEVE!” she wrote.
“NOTE: That’s not me. That’s not my personality in real life. I’ve experienced friendship and even family betrayal too. Watch the movie, learn from it, and move on. Don’t hate on the actors.”

Mosun’s calm yet firm response has sparked conversations about how audiences often blur the line between actors and the characters they portray.
