“More Press Conferences Coming”- VeryDarkMan Responds To NCSCN Over Seyi Tinubu Issue

  • Social media activist VeryDarkMan, responded to a warning from the National Civil Society Council of Nigeria (NCSCN).
  • The warning was related to VDM’s online dispute with Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
  • The controversy began when content creator Mitchelle Mukoro, or King Mitchy, revealed that her humanitarian projects received millions of naira from Seyi Tinubu.

Social media activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has reacted to the warning issued by the National Civil Society Council of Nigeria (NCSCN) over his online clash involving Seyi Tinubu.

The issue began after content creator Mitchelle Mukoro, widely known as King Mitchy, disclosed that her humanitarian projects received financial support running into millions of naira from Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Following her revelation, VDM questioned the intent behind the donation.

At a press conference held in Abuja on Tuesday, the NCSCN stated that the situation had gone beyond a mere social media disagreement. In a video from the briefing that has since made the rounds online, the council’s Executive Director, Blessing Akinlosotu, said their findings showed that VeryDarkMan escalated the matter and unnecessarily mentioned Seyi Tinubu in the dispute.

According to the council, the direction the conversation has taken could have broader consequences for responsible digital engagement in Nigeria. The organisation added that such public disputes risk blurring the lines between activism, personal attacks, and accountability.

Responding via Instagram on Wednesday, March 4, VeryDarkMan appeared unshaken by the council’s position and reaffirmed his stance.

“I HAVE DECIDED THAT I WILL BE TAGGING SEYI TINUBU IN ANY OF MY VIDEOS THAT CONCERNS NIGERIANS,” he declared.

He added, “Make una get ready, una get a lot of future press conferences to make.”
