President Buhari has appointed Mohammad Abubakar Adamu, as the new acting Inspector General of Police.
The President decorated the new acting Inspector General of Police at the State House, Abuja today January 15th.
The outgouing IGP, Ibrahim Idris, attained the mandatory 60 years for retirement today.
The presidency recently confirmed that the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris will be leaving office today January 15th while AIG Mohammed Adamu, will take over in acting capacity.
President Buhari’s personal assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, disclosed this in a tweet this afternoon. He shared photos of both men in the presidential villa where they are currently holding a meeting with President Buhari.
Idris attained the mandatory 60 years for retirement today and will not be getting an extention of tenure as many people speculated.
