Wunmi Aloba, widow of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has expressed gratitude to fans for their warm reception of Iyabo Ojo’s latest film, Return of Arinzo.
Sharing her thoughts on Instagram on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, Wunmi who also appears in the movie revealed the film’s ambitious goal of reaching N1 billion in box office sales, emphasizing that it is achievable with God’s help.
“Reviews for Return of Arinzo have been incredible so far. We want to sincerely thank everyone for supporting the cast and crew of this project. Your support is what we need most right now. Our target is 1 billion, and I believe that with God, anything is possible,” she wrote.
In addition, Wunmi posted several videos of herself at cinemas, interacting with fans during a meet-and-greet event to promote the movie.
Her backing of Iyabo Ojo comes as her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, continues to appeal to President Tinubu and the international community for assistance in conducting a DNA test on his grandson, Liam.
Almost three years after Mohbad’s passing, his body remains in a morgue, as burial plans have been delayed over unresolved paternity issues. Joseph Aloba described the situation as heartbreaking, explaining that confirming the child’s identity will be impossible once the burial takes place.
