In a new development surrounding the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad, Nigerian artist Naira Marley (real name Azeez Fashola) has reacted publicly to recent revelations sparked by activist Martins Vincent Otse, aka VeryDarkMan (VDM).
Though the case had gone quiet for a while, VDM has reignited public interest by conducting interviews with several individuals close to Mohbad before his passing. So far, he has spoken with Sam Larry, Prime Boy, Spending, the late singer’s driver, and Dominica Chinwe Mohbad’s close friend and confidante.
During Dominica’s interview, she revealed that Naira Marley had reached out to her directly to inquire if the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) had poisoned Mohbad a rumor that circulated widely online. She confirmed that she told him it wasn’t true, a statement some see as partially vindicating the embattled singer.
In what appeared to be a subtle reaction, Naira Marley took to social media to share a cryptic but pointed message. He wrote:
“Even if the world seems to oppose you, Allah’s support is paramount.”
The post has since drawn reactions from fans and critics alike, with some interpreting it as his way of maintaining innocence as renewed attention returns to Mohbad’s tragic case.
