Nollywood actress and entrepreneur, Lilian Esoro, has sparked online discussions with a cryptic note about loyalty, friendship, and relationships.

Sharing via her Instagram Stories, the actress wrote:

“When a friend looks out for you… never betray a friend for your own benefit, especially when facing a difficult situation or controversy. It may be rosy now… sometimes, most times, it’s not forever. Don’t get carried away by love or lust… men/boys will make you lose your friends (and the real ones).

There is so much that friend can take when you keep throwing them under the bus. (If the shoe fits after reading this, then this message is for you!).”

Though she didn’t call out anyone directly, her message has drawn mixed reactions from fans, with many suggesting it may have been directed at someone close to her.

Known for occasionally sharing motivational and thought-provoking posts, Esoro appeared to be underscoring the importance of loyalty and cherishing true friendships over fleeting relationships.

In other news… A Nigerian man in Benin, Edo State, recounted a terrifying encounter with men he identified as police officers.

Stopped while returning from work, he said they profiled him as wealthy because of a photo of his American wife, beat him, handcuffed him, and demanded ₦1m.

He was held from 8 pm to 1 am while the officers also extorted other motorists, including ₦500,000 from a GLE driver.

He added that the officers, who wore no name tags or identification, eventually abandoned him by the roadside at 1 am when they couldn’t extort the large sum they demanded.

“They took my phone, my power bank, my charger, everything I had on me. My wife was at home crying, not knowing what had happened. These men are supposed to protect us, but they are kidnappers in uniform,” he said tearfully.
