A video circulating online shows a Nigerian man in tears after learning that the Zamfara State Government has allocated N1 billion for building cemeteries across 14 local government areas, despite ongoing bandit attacks in the region.
On the night of March 28, 2026, around 10:30 pm, armed assailants wielding AK-47 rifles raided Dangoro village in Nahuche District. During the assault, three residents were killed, and several homes and silos were set on fire in Dangoro, located in Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The N1 billion earmarked for this project appears in the state’s approved 2026 budget under the Ministry of Religious Affairs. This allocation has drawn attention given the frequent violent attacks across Zamfara State.
Earlier, in February 2026, SaharaReporters detailed an ambush on residents of Kyaram community. As villagers returned from Maga Market in Bukkuyyum Local Government Area, bandits attacked, resulting in at least five deaths and multiple missing persons. The incident occurred along a rural route connecting Maga Market to Kyaram village.
