  • The man claims that Regina and Ned were not married in a church or mosque, but through a traditional shrine ceremony.

The ongoing drama between Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, has taken yet another surprising twist following a viral video shared by a Nigerian man.

In the clip making rounds online, the man claimed that Regina’s alleged attempt to leave her marriage might not be as simple as many believe. According to him, the actress and the billionaire politician were not joined in a church or mosque, but through a traditional shrine ceremony, which he described as spiritually binding.

He questioned:

“Regina Daniels, who wasn’t married in a church or mosque but in a shrine, now wants a divorce. Didn’t she know she was entering a secret cult?”

His comments have since stirred reactions online, adding yet another layer of controversy to the already sensitive issue surrounding the actress’s marriage and family.

This development follows Regina’s accusation on Monday, November 3, that her husband, Ned Nwoko, was responsible for the arrest of her brother, Sammy West.

Expressing deep concern, the actress revealed that efforts to secure Sammy’s release have been ongoing without success.

Meanwhile, Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, also spoke out, alleging that her daughter had been the one financially supporting Ned throughout their marriage. Her remarks, however, drew backlash from critics who accused her of interfering in her daughter’s marital life.

In response, Regina came to her mother’s defence, stating firmly that her marriage to Ned was entirely her own decision. She disclosed that her family initially opposed the relationship, and that she even reported them to the police to ensure she could marry the man she loved.

Clarifying her position, Regina wrote:

“People should stop insulting my mother. My marriage was my personal decision. Nobody forced me. I made my choice.”

The actress concluded by saying that her priority now is her brother’s freedom, not revisiting past choices about her marriage.
