Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton has asked fans to keep his dog, Roscoe, in their thoughts after the bulldog was placed in a coma following severe health complications.

In an emotional Instagram update, Hamilton revealed that Roscoe had caught pneumonia again and was struggling to breathe. The dog was admitted to hospital and sedated while doctors carried out checks. During the process, Roscoe’s heart reportedly stopped.

“They managed to get a heartbeat back and now he’s in a coma. We don’t know whether he will wake from this. Tomorrow we’ll try to wake him up,” Hamilton wrote.

The seven-time world champion said he has been by Roscoe’s side throughout the ordeal, thanking fans for their prayers and support.

Roscoe, who has long been a fixture in Hamilton’s life and social media posts, is loved by many of the driver’s followers. The update has sparked an outpouring of messages wishing the dog a speedy recovery.
