- A live interview on Arise TV turned tense as journalist Rufai Oseni confronted Michael Freeman over Israel’s actions in Gaza and nuclear tensions involving Iran.
- Responding to the remarks, Ambassador Freeman rejected several of Oseni’s claims, describing them as inaccurate.

A live interview on Arise TV turned heated on Friday as anchor Rufai Oseni clashed with Michael Freeman over Israel’s military actions and regional policies.
During the broadcast, Oseni confronted the ambassador over what he described as Israel’s historical and ongoing actions in the Middle East, including civilian casualties in Gaza.
“I mean, we can go back historically. I can tell you about the King David Hotel bombings, Argon, Shargon, and all the other atrocities, even Gaza, where Israel initially denied the number of people killed before eventually acknowledging them. And what they are doing in the West Bank… a lot of crimes are being investigated against the Israeli army,” Oseni said.
As the ambassador attempted to respond, Oseni interrupted him, insisting on finishing his point.
“Hang on a minute, let me finish. Do not interrupt me, ambassador. Let me finish,” he said.
Oseni also accused Israel and its allies of hypocrisy over nuclear issues, referencing past statements by allies of Israel during tensions with Iran.
“Alright, so you can go ahead and claim all of that, but the interesting part is also the hypocrisy. Only last year, during the 12-day war, you said the words of Donald Trump and Israel allies they are obliterating the nuclear program in Iran,” he added.
Responding to the remarks, Ambassador Freeman rejected several of Oseni’s claims, describing them as inaccurate.
“Well, before I go to the second part, some of the statements you made in the beginning were outrageous and absolutely based on no facts,” Freeman said.
“For example, Israel still disputes some of these numbers of people in Gaza that the Hamas authorities claim. We absolutely do not accept those figures. Reports suggesting otherwise are simply not true, and I can say that categorically now.”
Freeman went on to address the issue of Iran’s nuclear activities, saying Israel and the United States had taken steps to weaken the programme.
“In the 12-day war, Israel and America destroyed and set back, rather, Iran’s nuclear program,” he said.
“But over the last less than one year, Iran’s leadership began again… investing in restarting and rebuilding their nuclear program by digging deeper under the ground, by looking to enrich uranium even further, and by developing their ballistic missile program.”
The tense exchange has since circulated widely on social media, sparking debate among viewers over the issues raised during the interview.
