A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to express her disappointment after realizing she was significantly overcharged for a horse ride at a popular beach in Lagos.
In a now-viral post, the lady recounted how she had eagerly paid ₦35,000 for what was supposed to be a simple and fun beach activity. According to her, the horse handler informed her that each ride would cost ₦15,000, and after going twice and tipping him, she ended up parting with ₦35,000 in total.
However, her excitement quickly turned into shock when she later discovered from other beachgoers that the standard fee for a horse ride was only ₦5,000.
She never knew she could get scammed despite being a mature lady.

The incident sparked a flurry of reactions online, with many Nigerians sharing similar experiences of being overcharged at beaches. Others advised visitors to always negotiate or confirm prices beforehand to avoid being exploited.
