  • He reached out to her shortly after she shared a post about her phone, offering to provide her with a better device.

A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to lament after being scammed by a man who promised to upgrade her iPhone XR.

The man contacted her after she posted about her phone and offered to get her a better one.

He asked for a ₦8,000 delivery fee, which she paid, but he blocked her immediately after receiving the money.

Lol, someone scammed me of my last card, and that was for a new inhaler,” she wrote. “He pretended to send me a new phone after my XR tweet, and I sent money for the delivery fee ’cause I felt it was fair to pay for it. When it didn’t drop, I asked, and he got angry and blocked me.”

“I’m not even angry. It’s just so funny ’cause it’s 8k that you went that far for? Is that how it is?”

The lady later shared more posts to clarify her story, calling the man a scammer.

Her experience gained attention online, with many users flooding the comment section to react and share their opinions.
