In other news…. A man whose wife died after giving birth to twins is facing backlash for selling over ₦5 million worth of donated baby items for just ₦1.2 million.

A viral video shared by @TheBeninBlogger on X shows a woman who initially helped raise support revealing that the funds could’ve saved the twins, one of whom later died due to the inability to afford ₦10,000 medication.

Donated items included baby food, clothes, diapers, and more, all meant to support the twins after their mother’s death.

However, she revealed that the man sold everything to a woman in Benin for just ₦1.2 million.

“This morning, we got a call from the Ministry of Justice. Baba Twins wants to go to the bank to withdraw ₦500,000 from the children’s account,” she said in the emotional video.

She added, “All the baby food, the wipes, the pampers, the clothes, the shoes — everything that fans donated, Papa Twins sold everything to a woman in Benin. Everything in that shop was worth over ₦5 million. He sold it all for ₦1.2 million.”

She revealed that the state ministry intervened after the man tried to access funds meant for the twins.
