Veteran Fuji musician King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, widely known as KWAM 1, has sparked renewed online discussions after a video from one of his recent live shows went viral.
In the clip, the Fuji star could be seen on stage wearing a flowing blue agbada, performing for his audience as expected. However, the performance took an unexpected turn when he slapped a man reportedly part of his band.
The brief video shows KWAM 1 visibly upset with the individual over an unclear issue. Without much warning, he struck the man and exchanged a few words with him in front of the audience.
Though the incident lasted only seconds, it drew attention from attendees and quickly spread online, prompting widespread commentary from fans and social media users.
Many observers noted that this was not the first time the Fuji legend had been involved in such a confrontation. A similar situation occurred in 2020 when KWAM 1 was filmed slapping a photographer at a high-profile birthday party in Lagos.
The earlier incident took place during the celebration of socialite Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun, popularly known as IBD Dende. In that video, KWAM 1 struck the photographer who was attempting to take photos of guests, leading to criticism from Nigerians who called for more respect for event staff and workers.
