Brand influencer and entrepreneur King Mitchy, whose real name is Mukoro Michelle, has issued a public apology following a heated online dispute that occurred a few weeks ago.
The controversy involved a clash between her and Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, during which Seyi Tinubu and the Ooni of Ife were also mentioned and drawn into the drama.
In a video shared online, King Mitchy admitted that she made a mistake and accepted full responsibility for her actions. She acknowledged that she should not have taken a poisonous substance during the period of the controversy and expressed regret over her behavior.
The businesswoman also noted that many young women look up to her, describing herself as a role model. She apologised to them for letting them down and promised to do better moving forward.
Speaking about Seyi Tinubu, whom she described as her boss, Mitchy revealed that she had already apologised to him privately. However, she said she felt it was important to also apologise publicly since he was criticised and disrespected during the online exchange. She added that she deeply appreciates his support and generosity.
She also extended an apology to VeryDarkMan, admitting that dragging him on social media was wrong. Referring to him as a “brother,” she acknowledged the work he has been doing for causes he believes in.
In the same video, King Mitchy went on her knees to apologise to the Ooni of Ife for bringing the revered monarch into the dispute. She admitted that involving him in the matter was inappropriate and expressed sincere regret over the incident.
