- Actor Olatayo Amokade (Ijebu) condemns the use of harmful substances as social media content and calls on the police to take action.
- His remarks are linked to the ongoing controversy involving Verydarkman and King Mitchy.

Nollywood actor Olatayo Amokade, popularly known as Ijebu, has voiced strong concerns over disturbing trends on social media.
In a recent statement, the actor criticized the way harmful substances are being turned into online content, especially in videos suggesting self-harm.
“We have kids who are already using phone. I don’t know when people turned Sniper and Hypo into content, in the name of ‘I want to end it all.’ I’m calling on the police to stand up and start arresting them,” he said.
Ijebu stressed that such content could negatively influence young viewers who have easy access to smartphones and social media platforms. His comments come amid ongoing online drama involving Verydarkman and King Mitchy, which has sparked widespread reactions.
In other news… Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has taken her love for Christ further by visiting the National Hospital in Abuja. During her visit, she spent time in the children’s and women’s wards, laying hands on patients, engaging with them, praying, and even giving out cash gifts.
Sharing her experience on Instagram, Tonto expressed her gratitude to the hospital management for the warm welcome. She described being deeply moved by the sight of children battling serious illnesses, noting that the pain in the ward was tangible and made it hard for her to leave.
“Today we stepped into the children and women’s wards at the National Hospital, Abuja, not just to visit, but to carry light.
We were warmly received by the hospital management, and we are grateful for their openness and kindness.
But nothing prepared me for the sight of those precious children fighting battles too heavy for their little bodies. The pain in that ward was visible… tangible. At some point, I couldn’t bring myself to walk away from the children’s ward. My heart was overwhelmed with compassion and deep empathy.
We didn’t just pray, we acted in love.
We shared gifts with the children and women, and we were also able to support a few families financially toward their hospital bills. It may not have been everything, but it was something. And sometimes, “something” becomes the miracle someone prayed for.

We are called to be light in dark places.
