A Nigerian soldier has publicly expressed deep frustration over the unending cycle of attacks and suffering across the country, while confidently asserting the military’s capability to decisively end the banditry if given the correct directive.
Despite acknowledging that many frontline personnel are overwhelmed, the soldier insisted that the military has the training and strength needed to take full control of the security situation.
Speaking in Hausa, he issued a direct challenge to the high command:
“We can end terrorism in 24 hours if only we’re given the order,” he declared, adding: “Give us the chance , 24 hours is enough.”
The soldier lamented that Nigerians continue to suffer from abductions and constant fear, questioning why elite units are not fully deployed.
He concluded his passionate statement by affirming his commitment to duty:
“I didn’t wear this uniform for decoration or to brag, and not so people would fear me. I wear it to protect my country from evil.”
