On Wednesday, December 10, 2025, Nollywood actor-turned-pastor Jimmy Odukoya of Fountain of Life Church commemorated the 20th anniversary of his mother, Pastor Bimbo Odukoya’s passing, with a deeply personal tribute.
Pastor Bimbo Odukoya, a respected Nigerian minister, tragically lost her life in the Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 crash on December 11, 2005, at the age of 45. Reflecting on the two decades since her death, Jimmy took to social media to share his emotions and memories.
He expressed how quickly time has flown and emphasized that he feels her presence every day. Jimmy also recalled a prophecy she made about his future in ministry, which has come true. “Guess what?! You sure were right! I did end up becoming a Pastor,” he wrote.
In his tribute, he highlighted that her grandchildren are familiar with her legacy and affirmed his commitment to continuing the work she started.
“Know that I’m carrying on your legacy, hope I’m making you proud… Love you mum! Now and always… P.S. Say hi to Dad for me,” Jimmy added.
The Fountain of Life Church, currently led by Jimmy, was originally founded by his late parents.
