Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has drawn emotional reactions after a video of her passionately praying for her daughter, Priscilla, during a baby shower in Toronto, Canada, surfaced online.
As previously reported by GistLover, the actress, alongside her close friends, organized a colourful celebration in honour of Priscilla’s upcoming child.
A touching moment from the event has now gone viral, showing Iyabo deeply immersed in prayer as she prophesied into her daughter’s future.
Speaking with firm conviction, Iyabo declared that Priscilla’s marriage to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux would succeed even though her own didn’t.
She affirmed that she had already made the sacrifices necessary for her daughter’s home to be peaceful and long-lasting.
This comes months after Priscilla’s wedding, which stirred online speculation. Some doubted the marriage’s longevity, citing Iyabo’s status as a single mother as a bad omen.
In her prayer, Iyabo said:
“We women must begin to prophesy good things into the lives of our children. Don’t have the belief that because a certain thing happened to your mum, it happened to you and it must happen to your children. Break it. There is something called Ancestral curs£. You must break and stop it.
Priscilla your marriage will work, you will grow old with your husband, he will be beside you, from the day of youth till the day of your old and you will be with your children because you have married right, you have married the bones of your bones, the flesh of your flesh. If mine didn’t work yours will work, for I have paid that sacrifice for yours to work.”
The video of Iyabo’s emotional prayer during the baby shower continues to attract attention online.
