Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr Paul Enenche, has reacted to allegations that he finances his personal lifestyle with church funds.
Speaking during a church service in a video that has since gone viral, Enenche dismissed such claims, describing them as baseless and ill-informed.
The cleric firmly stated that neither he nor any member of his family has ever handled the church’s cheque book since the ministry was established. He explained that income generated from church materials such as books and CDs has never been used for personal expenses.
According to him, some people wrongly assume that his appearance or accessories are funded by church money, an idea he strongly criticized.
“People see a suit or a watch and immediately conclude it’s church money. That kind of thinking makes no sense,” he said.
Enenche emphasized that proceeds from his devotional publications and audio materials have never been used to purchase personal items, stressing that not even the smallest accessory was bought from such funds.
He further noted that his provisions come through God’s help, adding that he does not place value on material possessions. He revealed that many items gifted to him, including shoes and clothing, have remained unused for years, while several others were freely given out.
“I once gave away over 200 suits in a single day. That was enough,” he disclosed.
In conclusion, the pastor encouraged Christians to shift their focus away from material things and prioritize spiritual growth.
“Let’s stop living for things and start living for God and His kingdom. When you do that, the things people pursue will begin to pursue you,” he advised.
