Content creator and self-styled financial adviser, Geh Geh, has responded to the campaign against his online platform, popularly known as the “Geh Geh University of Wisdom.”
Recently, a coalition made up of Nigerian scholars, students, alumni, and concerned citizens submitted a petition to the National Universities Commission (NUC), urging the agency to shut down Geh Geh’s platform and other parody “universities” operating on social media.
In their petition, the group argued that the use of the term university by comedians and influencers such as Geh Geh University and Blessing CEO University could undermine the value and reputation of genuine higher institutions, where students go through rigorous processes to earn admission.
Reacting to the development, Geh Geh said he was disheartened by the call to ban his initiative. He reached out to his fans and well-wishers, appealing to Nigerians to intercede with President Bola Tinubu on his behalf.
