Iran’s Supreme Leader Vows ‘No Mercy’ for Israel

  • Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has sent a strong warning to Israel, stating that Tehran will show “no mercy” in response to Israel’s recent military strikes.
  • This statement follows a significant escalation last week when Israel launched a major aerial assault targeting Iranian military and nuclear sites, as well as residential areas—an action that Iran has described as a declaration of war.

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has issued a strong warning to Israel, stating that Tehran will show “no mercy” in retaliation for Israel’s recent military actions.

Khamenei’s intense remarks, shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Wednesday, followed shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump called for Iran’s “unconditional surrender” and suggested that the U.S. could eliminate the Iranian leader if it wished.

“We must give a strong response to the terrorist Zionist regime. We will show the Zionists no mercy,” Khamenei wrote.

This declaration comes after a significant escalation last week when Israel conducted a severe aerial bombardment targeting Iranian military and nuclear facilities, as well as civilian areas—an act that Iran has labeled a declaration of war.

In retaliation, Iran has initiated a series of counterattacks, including missile and drone strikes.

On Wednesday morning, Tehran announced it had launched hypersonic missiles at Israeli targets.

On Tuesday, Donald Trump adopted a confrontational approach, urging the Islamic Republic to surrender without conditions. He also claimed that the United States had the ability to eliminate Khamenei.

The exchange of threats occurs amid increasing international anxiety regarding the potential for a full-scale war, as global leaders advocate for restraint and a return to diplomatic discussions.
