Senator Ikechukwu Obiorah has reportedly abandoned his Abuja residence following an order by the Inspector-General of Police to arrest him after his illegal actions against the publisher and staff of the Daily Times of Nigeria.
Daily Times reports that last week, Senator Obiorah led a team of policemen to arrest some of its staff at its Agidingbi premises over the ownership dispute he is having with its publisher, Fidelis Anosike.
The police have ordered a full investigation into the action of Senator Obiorah led by DIG Hycent Dagala along with ACP Njoku and SP Elizabeth Eze. As part of the investigation, the police visited the Abuja residence of the Senator this morning but could not find him there.
