Insecurity: North East Governors Meet in Yola

At a meeting held in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State, governors from the Northeast region discussed the main issues confronting their region.

All six of the region’s governors attended the meeting, which took place at Government House’s Banquet Hall.

The forum’s chairman, Borno governor Babagana Umara Zulum, emphasized the necessity of teamwork in addressing problems including underdevelopment, poverty, and insecurity.

All of the governors decided to collaborate on these fronts.

Governor Zulum made a request for aid from the federal government, focusing on enhancing transportation infrastructure such highways, railroads, and waterways.

He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his efforts to bring about peace in the Northeast and Nigeria.

The forum’s host, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, acknowledged its importance in raising awareness of the needs of the area and combating insurgency.

Governor Fintiri highlighted the forum’s accomplishment in bringing stability and peace back by coordinated efforts.

He urged sustained dedication to peace and development.

Governor Zulum recommended the growth of small businesses and agricultural value chains as a means of addressing unemployment and poverty, emphasizing the significance of promoting regional peace and providing opportunity for locals.
