Controversial gospel singer, Sammie Okposo has said that the reason he is still here is because of God’s grace.
The 50-year-old made this known in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
“I AM STILL HERE. IT’S BY THE GRACE OF GOD. THANK YOU JESUS. FOR KEEPING ME. I VOW TO SERVE, PRAISE, WORSHIP&HONOUR YOU JESUS WITH MY LIFE,” he said.
On Monday, the gospel singer bagged the International Artiste of the Year award at the 2022 Soar Awards held in Rockford Illionis, USA.
Sharing photos of him posing with the award, the singer wrote: “JESUS DID IT. Thank you @soarawards for Honouring me with the “International Artiste of the Year” award at the just concluded Soar Awards 2022 that took place on Monday, March 7th, 2022 in Rockford Illinois USA.”
This comes a month after the singer received online backlashes after he publicly confessed to cheating on his wife with a woman he met on his visit to the United States for a gospel concert.
The music star had earlier uspended himself from ministry after he publicly apologised to his wife and family over the infidelity scandal.
