A Lagos-based Nigerian woman, Sarah Olaomo, has expressed shock and sadness following the tragic death of her neighbour, who reportedly took her own life over an alleged ₦500,000 debt.
The incident is said to have occurred on Monday, February 16, 2026, leaving residents in the area devastated. According to Sarah, she had spoken to the deceased just a day before the tragedy.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Sarah shared her distress in an emotional post.
“Ahh!!!! My neighbour just committed suicide!!! I’m shaking, guys! I saw her yesterday. Just yesterday, I even said hello. Wft Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!” she wrote.
In a follow-up post, Sarah revealed that the woman allegedly ended her life because of a ₦500,000 debt she owed.
The heartbreaking development has since sparked conversations on social media about the emotional and psychological pressures associated with debt, as well as the need for greater mental health awareness and support systems.

According to the clip, after she threw the first punch, the man retaliated, and the TikToker suggested the woman ended up in the hospital. No names were mentioned, but social media quickly speculated that it was DJ Dimple, who is known for her athletic build and frequent workout posts, including boxing routines.
The rumour intensified after an X (formerly Twitter) user, @KachySZN, directly named her in a viral post, writing:
“Dem beat DJ Dimple to stupor until she fainted 😂😭😭 she go Dey form for where man Dey because you get big body 😂😂.”
In response, DJ Dimple took to Snapchat to set the record straight. In a video, she appeared healthy and lively, clearly disproving the claims that she had been hospitalised.
She expressed her frustration with the spread of false information, stating:
“I’ve been getting messages about a post on Twitter that I was beaten up at the gym. Please stop spreading lies about me. I am not even a troublesome person. I am always in my lane. Why can’t you guys just let me be.”
Through her video, DJ Dimple confirmed she was not involved in any fight and urged people to stop attributing baseless stories to her.
