The Anambra state police command has declared Ifeanyi Ejiofor, lawyer of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, wanted following the clash at his country home in Oriaifite, a community in the state yesterday Monday December 2nd.
Recall that some members of the proscribed group clashed with men of the Nigerian police at Ejiofor’s country home on Monday. The police had gone to the house for a search following a report that it was being used to hide a kidnap victim. Two police officers were killed during the clash.
The state commissioner of police, John Abang, who declared him wanted, urged members of the public with any useful information of his whereabouts to avail the police or any other security agencies of such information.
“Gentleman, I will like to let Nigerians to know that as we speak, Barrister Ejiofor, an IPOB member and his cohorts have been declared wanted by the command”.
“And I will seek the cooperation of law abiding Nigerians from North, South, East and West, wherever they find this individual, they should report to the nearest police station or any other security agency for possible arrest and prosecution” he said.
